NICOLE RICHIE CHECKED INTO MATERNITY WARD? Nicole Richie is reportedly in hospital preparing for the birth of her second child. OK! magazine claims that after paying her last respects to former fiance DJ AM at his memorial last week, Richie checked herself into a Los Angeles maternity ward. Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden are expecting the new arrival any day. The couple is already parents to 20-month-old daughter Harlow.
TABLOID CLAIMS BRAD PITT SPENT CRAZY MONEY ON GERBIL RUN: A rumor is circulating, claiming that Brad Pitt spent nearly $83,000 to build a gerbil run for his children's pets. Although GossipCop.com claims the story is likely untrue, London's The Sun reported that the expensive complex "features a maze of tunnels, seesaws and platforms which makes the rodents the most pampered vermin on the planet." ROSE MCGOWAN INJURED ON MOVIE SET: Rose McGowan has to re-learn basic movement functions after getting severely injured on the set of the devil comic book adaptation Red Sonja. The actress recently told Fox News's Pop Tarts, "I had wrist and elbow surgery and they took part of my elbow out. I had really bad nerve damage from doing stunts -- I do a lot of my own stunts. I could no longer use my arm, but now I can hold a fork and drive so we're working our way up. It'll probably be another six months of rehab, but It's the price you pay for being really limber and being able to do back flips!"
