The Bravery has set Slow Poison as the name of the band's third studio album, which arrives on November 10th. The title track has already been released to radio as the set's first single. Singer Sam Endicott told us that the follow-up to 2007's sophomore outing, The Sun And The Moon, goes back to the band's roots while also moving forward: ["I'd say it's more like the first record (from 2005) in that there's a lot of electronics on it, but it still sounds very human, you know. It sounds like human beings playing the music as opposed to computers. But it is different that either of our albums in that I'd say it's darker and angrier, a little bit."]


Five Finger Death Punch will play a hometown record release party on Friday night (September 18th) at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, as the band prepares for next Tuesday's (September 22nd) arrival of its sophomore album, War Is The Answer. The group has also revealed that the deluxe edition of the new disc will include a bonus DVD, a locker-sized poster, a decal, special digipak artwork, two bonus tracks, and a fan club membership.

Meanwhile the video for the album's first single, "Hard To See," has surfaced online. Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory and new axeman Jason Hook told us that they picked the video concept just to make life hard for singer Ivan Moody: [(Bathory) "When we shot the video for this particular song, you know, we were getting the treatments from all kind of directors, right? So we were reading all the treatments and one of the treatments started with, like, 'The lead singer gets hit with a shovel and falls in a grave,' and we were pretty much..." (Hook) "Sold, sold, we'll go with this one." (Bathory) "'This is the one!' (laughs) To tell you the truth, I don't really know what that video is about, I still don't really understand, but he did get hit with a shovel, so..." (Hook) "So we're like, 'Good


Alice In Chains has posted samples of all 11 songs from its new album, Black Gives Way To Blue, on YouTube. The long-awaited disc, the band's first collection of all-new material in 14 years, comes out on September 29th. The group has also posted a video for the first single, "Check My Brain," at its official website, AliceInChains.com


Weezer has joined the list of bands selling official live bootlegs of their concerts. The group has begun making the recordings available at Weezer.com, beginning with its August 27th gig in Camden, New Jersey. The bootlegs are available as either digital downloads, CDs, or deluxe packages that include the CD, the download, a T-shirt and digital photos


Avril Lavigne has split with her husband of three years, Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley. Lavigne took to her blog yesterday (Thursday, September 17th), writing: "Deryck and I have been together for six and a half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know, and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note." She added, "Thank you to all my family, friends and fans for all your support."
