President Barack Obama sat down with late night TV talk show host David Letterman on Monday, wrapping up a blitz of television appearances as he tries to build support for his top domestic priority, an ambitious health care overhaul plan.

"Was Jimmy Carter onto something ... was this unease rooted in racism, or is that just something to talk about?" Letterman asked.

"First of all, I think it's important to realize that I was actually black before the election," Obama said to huge laughs from Letterman and the audience.


Residents got to decide "needle or no needle" when it came to getting their flu shot Monday.

Vineland became the first in the area to test the new PharmaJet needle free injection technology at their drive-through clinic Monday afternoon.

Those who came out for the vaccine got to opt for the new device or the traditional injection, "One of the nice features of the system is that without needles there's no possibility of needle stick injuries to either the patient or the health care worker


Florida woman murdered along with her five children endured regular abuse from her husband but seemed overwhelmed by trying to raise the kids herself and wanted him around as a father figure, Department of Children and Families records show.
