CHELSEA HANDLER AND BOYFRIEND STILL ON: Chelsea Handler and her boss/boyfriend appear to still be a couple, despite widespread breakup rumors. Witnesses spotted the E! host and Comcast CEO Ted Harbert in Atlantic City last weekend, where one source said, "They were inseparable and did everything together." The New York Post added that the couple shared a suite together at the Borgata and Harbert attended all three of Handler's shows at the hotel.
EMMY RATINGS IMPROVE: The ratings for Sunday (September 20th) night's Emmys were the show's highest in three years, although it only pulled in one million more viewers than 2008's all-time low. The Nielson company said on Monday that 13.3 million people tuned in for the Neil Patrick Harris-led broadcast, despite tough competition from major football match-ups on the other networks. The Giants-Cowboys faceoff on NBC brought in over 20 million viewers, believed to be the best overnight ratings of any prime time pro football game in 11 years.
Glee has become the first new show of the fall to get a full-season order. The Hollywood Reporter announced on Monday (September 21st) that Fox has picked up the remaining nine episodes of the show that have been shot so far. The show's official debut earlier this month made it Fox's highest-rated scripted fall premiere in three years.
The Saturday Night Live cast is hoping Twilight star Rob Pattinson might drop by for a hosting gig this season. Before the Emmys began on Sunday (September 20th), Seth Meyers told E!, "We would love to get Robert Pattinson," adding, "We're actually hoping if [Rob's] not available, at least his hair will come by and host."
Hugh Laurie's rep is denying reports that the actor is considering quitting Fox's House "because his pretend limp is giving him a real-life injury." GossipCop.com checked the rumor -- which originated in Britain's Express -- with Laurie's reps who assured them that the story was "not true," even calling it "hysterical."
