MACKENZIE PHILLIPS SAYS ABORTION EVENTUALLY ENDED SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH DAD

Mackenzie Phillips told Oprah Winfrey about her incestuous relationship with her father on Wednesday's (September 23rd) show, revealing that the only reason it ended was because she might have been pregnant with his child.

Mackenzie said that she and John Phillips had been sleeping together for ten years, beginning when she was 19. She claimed that after becoming pregnant, she was unable to discern if the child was in fact her father's or that of her then-husband Shane Fontayne. The elder Phillips eventually paid for her abortion and then she "never let him touch me again."

In response to Mackenzie's allegations, her former stepmother, Genevieve Waite released a statement directly to the Oprah Winfrey Show saying, "I am stunned by Mackenzie's terrible allegations about her father. I would often complain about her overly familiar attitudes towards him, and he said it was just her way. John was a good man. ... He was incapable, no matter how drunk or drugged he was, to have sexual relations with his own child."
