An insane killer was recaptured Sunday, three days after he slipped away from the staff of a mental institution during a trip to a county fair more than 180 miles away from the side of a highway where he eventually was found.
A friend gave Paul a guitar, a sleeping bag and a leather jacket and drove him out of town. It wasn't until Saturday that the friend learned of the escape. He then contacted detectives and showed them where he dropped off Paul.

A mother and her five young children were found dead inside a Florida apartment Saturday and authorities are calling the woman’s husband a "person of interest" in the killings.
Police launched a massive manhunt late Saturday for the husband, Mesac, who they say drove to Miami International Airport on Friday morning and boarded a flight to Haiti.
The space shuttle Discovery is on a cross-country flight to Florida after landing from space earlier this month in Southern California.
The Discovery departed from Edwards Air Force Base north of Los Angeles at about 6:20 a.m. Sunday. It is being ferried atop a modified 747 aircraft, known as a Shuttle Carrier Aircraft.
