
Opening this weekend is Love Happens, starring Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart. The story follows Dr. Burke Ryan, played by Eckhart, a doctor who wants his patients to confront their pain but is secretly unable to take his own advice. Eloise Chandler, played by Aniston, is a florist who has sworn off men. But when Eloise meets Burke, even though their pasts still loom overhead, they find that love happens when you least expect it. Love Happens was directed by Brandon Camp.
Opening today (September 18th) is the new animated film Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, with Bill Hader, Anna Faris and James Caan lending their voices. The film takes place in Shallow Hills, a town just hit by hard times, where the townspeople can only afford to eat sardines. But when Flint Lockwood, voiced by Hader, builds a machine that converts water into food the town makes him a local hero after tasty foods start falling from the sky. However, Flint realizes he may not be able to handle his invention after the machine spins out of control and threatens to bury the town under giant mounds of food. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs was directed by Chris Miller.
The fourth installment of the popular Spiderman franchise is due to be released in May of 2011. PerezHilton.com reports that it took nearly a year to convince stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and director Sam Raimi to sign on. The first three films have grossed over $2.5 million at the worldwide box office.
Patrick Swayze's remains will reportedly be cremated. RadarOnline.com reports that the late actor's ashes will be spread across his New Mexican Rancho de Dias Alegres, which he called his favorite place in the world.
Meanwhile, The Time of My Life, the memoir Swayze wrote with his wife Lisa Niemi, has been given a September 29th release date.
