Celebrity Trash




There's a connection between Lindsay Lohan and the 18-year-old man suspected of burglarizing her home. TMZ.com reports that Nicholas Prugo, who has been arrested in connection with the crime, is the son of Frank Prugo -- the former vice president of First Look Studios. The website reports that First Looks is behind the Lohan film, Labor Pains, which was released on television earlier this year.


Unsealed documents relating to Anna Nicole Smith's death revealed that a Los Angeles pharmacist told Smith's internist that the drugs the internist prescribed to the model after her son died were "pharmaceutical suicide." The Los Angeles Times reports that the documents show that Smith's doctors were warned about prescription drugs by three pharmacists. Two of Smith's physicians and her boyfriend and attorney Howard K. Stern have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to illegally provide her with controlled substances. Smith died of an overdose in February of 2007.


Heather Locklear will reprise her character, Amanda Woodward. on the new Melrose Place. The show's executive producers announced on Tuesday (September 22nd), "We're ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place. Heather's involvement in the show is something we've been working on for some time as we couldn't imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character's inclusion." Her episode is scheduled to air on November 17th. Locklear joined the original show during its first season and remained on until it went off the air in 1999.


A jury began hearing arguments today in a Bahamian extortion trial centered around John Travolta. Although People magazine reported that the actor was prepared to testify on Tuesday (September 22nd) that the two defendants demanded $25 million in exchange for a document relating to his son's Jett's death, CBS reported that he was not in the courtroom when the proceedings began.

Jett's condition at the time paramedics responded to emergency calls was the focus of Tuesday's proceedings. The paramedic partner of defendant Tarino Lightbourne revealed that the 16-year-old, who had suffered a seizure, was unresponsive when they arrived and showed "no sign of life" when they examined him.
