Celebrity Trash


Hulk Hogan is suing the attorneys that defended him and his son Nick after the latter's 2007 car crash. Fox News's Pop Tarts said that according to the suit, Hulk's automotive insurance company Progressive was obligated to cover all necessary legal costs, however the lawyers named allegedly failed to notify him of this and continued to bill at excessively high rates. The firm called his charges "baseless" and said they will "dispute and will contest the claims made against us."


Married actors Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick will team up to present an award together at Sunday's (September 20th) Emmys. Other familiar faces who will be gracing the stage include Tina Fey, Kiefer Sutherland and Simon Baker. Addition presenters include Alec Baldwin, Ricky Gervais, Cat Deeley, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sigourney Weaver and Kate Walsh. The show is slated to air at 8 p.m. on CBS.


NBC has approached Helen Hunt to replace Maura Tierney in their upcoming drama series, Parenthood. The Hollywood Reporter says that the Oscar and Emmy winner is considering the role, which Tierney abandoned in order to focus on breast cancer treatment. Peter Krause, Erika Christensen, Craig T. Nelson and Dax Shepard are already on board.


Michael Douglas will star as Liberace in an upcoming biopic about the "campy musical performer." Director Steven Soderbergh confirmed the casting to People magazine, further revealing that Matt Damon will portray Liberace's longtime lover.

Soderbergh told a French newspaper, "We've already done some costume and wardrobe tests on Michael, and they're very, very, very good. I swear to you, Michael amazed me. He crushed it."
