Police in Buena Park, Calif., say they found blood and evidence of a violent struggle inside a car belonging to an ex-model whose brutal slaying prompted a massive manhunt for the reality TV contestant wanted in her murder.

Sgt. Roger Powell said Thursday afternoon that investigators found blood splattered on the passenger seat, back seat and rear windshield.

Jasmine Fiore's white Mercedes-Benz was found abandoned Wednesday in West Hollywood.


A Staten Island man was sentenced today to 15 years behind bars for aggravated assault against several Atlantic City police officers.

Rafael Pichardo was convicted of biting off part of an officer's finger, and spitting on two others, while they tried to subdue him after he was acting unruly at the Casbah Nightclub in February of 2007.

He was convicted of various charges, including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, obstructing the administration of law and making terroristic threats.


An 11-year-old California girl kidnapped in 1991 while waiting for a school bus has been found alive, and a convicted sex offender is accused of raping and fathering two children with her while he and his wife held her captive in their backyard.

Despite the shocking revelations, the discovery of Jaycee Lee Dugard brought sudden relief to her family 18 years after their young girl disappeared.

Dugard had been kept with the two girls, ages 11 and 15, in a series of tents and sheds hidden behind the home


A 19-year-old Las Vegas-area woman has been arrested on allegations that she hid her pregnancy and then killed her newborn son because she was afraid her mother would be mad at her for giving birth out of wedlock.
