Theory Of A Deadman and Cavo, both currently appearing on Crue Fest 2, will join Daughtry on the latter band's upcoming fall/winter tour. According to Tunelab Music, dates and venues will be announced in the coming weeks. Theory Of A Deadman frontman Tyler Connolly told us he's already looking forward to the trek: ["That's gonna be great. That's something that, you know, it's new for us and a little different. The crowds are gonna be, once again, kind of I think a lot different than the Motley Crue crowds. But, you know, when we got offered the tour, we were really excited about it because, you know, for us, we're still trying to sell records and trying to win over new fans, so it's gonna be a great opportunity for us.
The first single from Weezer's upcoming seventh album, called "(If You Are Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To," was leaked online over the weekend, with music websites providing a link to the track on YouTube. The song's arrival follows the live debut by the band of two new songs at a festival in South Korea last month, called "The Girl Got Hot" and "I'm Your Daddy." While those two tracks were not well received online by fans, Pitchfork.com wrote that the new single "isn't quite so bad."
New Moon Rising," the first single from Wolfmother's upcoming second album Cosmic Egg, arrived at radio stations over the weekend. The new disc was recorded at a studio in a rural part of the band's home country of Australia. Singer and guitarist Andrew Stockdale told us that "New Moon Rising" was inspired by some very odd encounters he had after work: ["When I'd drive home, like at the end of the night, I'd see all these like native animals that I'd never seen in my entire life. Like, I was driving along and in the middle of the road was this four-foot-high koala. And I've never seen a koala! Another night I saw an animal with spikes all over it. So it was kind of bizarre, like, around the time of "New Moon Rising," I saw a lot of, like, wildlife that people even in that town said they'd never seen their whole life
