A reality show contestant wanted for murder in the gruesome death and mutilation of his ex-wife was found dead of an apparent suicide after hanging himself in a secluded motel, authorities said.

Police responded to a call Sunday from motel staff about a dead person in Hope, east of Vancouver, and then called investigators who were part of the massive manhunt for Ryan Jenkins


An undercover reverse prostitution sweep in Atlantic City, leads to the arrest of 25 men, all arrested for soliciting undercover female officers, posing as prostitutes.

Taking place in the areas of Pacific Avenue, the 8 hour operation resulted in the arrest of 23 men.

An additional two men were arrested after offering the undercover officer protection and material goods, in exchange for the women to work for them.

Both are charged with promoting prostitution, conspiracy and resisting arrest.


Hurricane Bill was hundreds of miles from shore and weakening as East Coast wave watchers and surfers came out to meet the storm, but it still was blamed in two deaths.

A 7-year-old girl died in Maine after she, her father and a 12-year-old girl were swept into the water Sunday off Acadia National Park's Thunder Hole, where tourists often gather to watch waves crash into the jetties
In New Smyrna Beach along the central Florida coast, a 54-year-old swimmer died after he was washed ashore unconscious near rough waves fueled by Bill. The man, Angel Rosa of Orlando, was pronounced dead at a hospital.


From Vermont to California, exhausted but appreciative car dealers watched their lots grow empty as crowds rushed to trade in gas guzzlers during the final weekend of the popular Cash for Clunkers program.

The hectic pace of the $3 billion rebate program accelerated in the final weekend, after the government announced the program would end at 8 p.m. EDT Monday, two weeks earlier than expected.
