Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly in talks to join a new vampire film. BloodyDisgusting.com reports that the actor is in negotiations to play Anne Rice's Lestat Du Lioncort in the latest movie adaptation of her Vampire Chronicles. Tom Cruise and Stuart Townsend have both played the part of Lestat Du Lioncort in Interview With the Vampire and Queen of the Damned, respectively.

Holly Hunter's TNT drama Saving Grace has been canceled. Variety reports that the series will end its run after nine episodes scheduled for next summer. Although the program has received critical acclaim, DVD sales were weak and a smaller episode order made it unlikely that it would earn money through syndication.

Denzel Washington, the only African American actor to win two Oscars for his work on the big screen, is considering a new television job. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor could be an executive producer on the new cop drama Billy Stiles, from TV writer Virgil Williams. Fox is in talks to pick up the project.

Brad Pitt admitted that he used to smoke marijuana -- but says that he gave up the habit once he had children. After talk show host Bill Maher recalled that Pitt harbored a talent for rolling joints, the father of six joked, "I'm an artist."

Jon Gosselin explained the incident that led estranged wife Kate to call the police to their home last Thursday (August 13th) telling Splash News that it was "a miscommunication. The reality dad said, "[Kate] tried to come home yesterday and I wouldn't let her in the gate and I guess she called the police." He confirmed earlier reports that Kate arrived at the house because she did not approve of the babysitter who was with Jon in the residence.

No arrests were made, and Kate eventually drove to a nearby Days Inn to spend the night. RadarOnline.com reports that when checking into the hotel, Kate's nose was red and it appeared she'd been crying.
