SCHOOL ASKS KIDS TO BRING THEIR OWN TOILET PAPER: A primary school in Ireland suffering from a deep recession has asked parents to send their kids to school with their own roll of toilet paper. The principal of the school claims that the letter sent out to parents was not a demand, but a request to help balance the school's budget. The principal also said that the request comes partially as a result of the government cutting grants for books and computers. At least half of the students have brought in their own toilet paper so far. (Reuters)
RACING FANS "LIMITED" TO 24 BEERS A DAY: Australian racing fans at the popular Bathurst 1000 were told that they would be limited to a "slab" (24 cans) of beer a day. The same rule will be applied to other alcoholic drinks in terms of millimeters and alcohol level. The race, which draws thousands of people every year is known for its rowdiness in the past, which prompted the rule. Believe it or not, many fans are still not happy with the amount. (Reuters)
