Andrew Llyod Webber has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. A rep for the legendary composer announced the news on Sunday (October 25th), but noted that the condition is in its early stages. A statement from his publicist said, "Andrew is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year." Webber recently announced plans for a sequel to his hit show, Phantom of the Opera.
Ivanka Trump married New York Observer owner Jared Kushner Sunday (October 25th) in New Jersey. A rep confirmed to the nuptials to Usmagazine.com, adding, "She was the most stunning bride." The wedding took place on the grounds of the Trump National Golf Club after a three-month engagement. 27-year-old Trump talked about preparations for the big day recently, saying, "I only had a 3 month engagement so it was all done pretty quickly. To all those women planning a wedding, just be organized and decisive. It also helps if you have a wedding planner helping you out!"
Sean Penn has reportedly traveled to Cuba in the hopes of interviewing Fidel Castro. TMZ.com reported on Sunday (October 25th), "Sean (Penn) is going to the land of Fidel as a journalist, writing a story for Vanity Fair (magazine) about how the (Barack) Obama administration has affected Cuba." The website reported that he's traveling with Diana Jenkins, who is married to the "head honcho" at Barclays bank. TMZ's source added, "Barclays sources say Sean and Diana are going to meet (Fidel) Castro -- presumably because that's what Diana told them."
Benjamin Bratt will reportedly be reprising his role on Law & Order. PerezHilton.com reports that after nearly ten years away from the show, Bratt has signed on to revisit the character of Detective Rey Curtis. Sources say that he will factor heavily in a story involving S. Epatha Merkerson's Van Buren character.
