
ONE-LEGGED SHOPLIFTER STEALS ONE SHOE: Police in Belgium have arrested a man with one leg who allegedly stole one shoe from a store. The man became the obvious suspect when a shopkeeper noticed a single shoe missing after the man left the store. Police were able to recover the shoe after tracking the one-legged man down and made an arrest. The man is said to be a Russian seeking asylum. (AP)
MAN CAUGHT SMUGGLING REPTILES UNDER CLOTHES: A Norwegian man was arrested when customs agents discovered he was hiding 14 royal pythons and 10 albino leopard geckos under his clothes after getting off a ferry from Denmark. The customs agent said the non-venomous snakes were in stockings taped to the mans chest, and the geckos were in small boxes taped to his thighs. The agent searched the man after a tarantula was found in one of his bags. (AP)
HIGH SCHOOL RING RETURNED AT WAKE AFTER 57 YEARS: An Ohio man was shocked to have his high school ring returned to him at a wake for his high school sweetheart. The deceased woman's husband tapped the man on the shoulder and explained that his wife instructed him to return the ring if her old flame decided to attend the wake. The two dated for two years, but broke up when the man joined the air force in 1952 after graduating. (AP)
