
TIFFANI THIESSEN COMMENTS ON DUSTIN DIAMOND: Even though Dustin Diamond has been trying to capitalize off supposed secrets from his time on Saved By the Bell, his former co-star Tiffani Thiessen is still sympathetic towards him. She recently told TV Guide, "I feel so sad for him. I don't think he's had the right direction. We're all working and he's not. I think people can see that, and that's what's sad about it."
ROBIN WRIGHT WILL STAY FRIENDLY WITH SEAN PENN: Robin Wright says that despite her divorce, she and Sean Penn will stay friends. The actress told Redbook of their public split, saying, "It never [feels good]. Yes, it's divorce; it's a given that it will be public. But . . . it's so disrespectful. 'You're an actress, you owe us this?' '(Bleep) you,' is what I say." Of her life now, she says, "New beginnings, definitely. For me, my career too. My kids are older now."
COMEDIAN SOUPY SALES DIES AT 83: Soupy Sales died on Thursday (October 22) at age 83, according to his former manager Dave Usher. The former TV and radio host, famous for taking more than 20,000 pies to the face, was suffering from many health problems when he entered a hospice in New York last week. Sales is survived by his wife, Trudy, and two sons, Hunt and Tony.
BRAVO ORDERS MORE 'TOP CHEF MASTERS': Bravo has ordered a second season of its spin-off series, Top Chef Masters. Food journalist Kelly Choi will return as host, while culinary expert James Oseland, food critic Jay Rayner, restaurant critic Gael Greene and Gail Simmons of Food and Wine magazine will serve as judges. The show, which averaged 2.2 million viewers this summer, will debut its second season in 2010.
'DOLLHOUSE' FUTURE LOOKS BLEAK: The future of Fox's Dollhouse does not look promising. The network announced on Thursday (October 22nd) that it would not air the show during November sweeps, leading to speculation that the end could be near. The episodes they currently have made will now air back-to-back in December.
'GLEE' DVD COMING OUT THIS YEAR: 20th Century Fox appears to be capitalizing on the popularity of its freshman hit, Glee. The Hollywood Reporter announced that the show's first season is being broken up into two separate DVDs. Glee Season 1: Road To Sectionals DVD will be released at the end of the year with the first 13 episodes of the show, a director's cut of the pilot, behind-the-scenes featurettes and cast audition clips. The second half of the series will resume in 2010.
