A Delaware first-grader who was facing 45 days in an alternative school as punishment for taking his favorite camping utensil to school can return to class after the school board reversed their decision.

The Brigantine Post Office sustained structural damage after a vehicle crashed into the lobby Tuesday afternoon.

Several people were inside the building during the crash around 2p.m. but no one was injured.

Police say an elderly man claims his foot slipped onto the accelerator as he was entering the parking lot.

The driver was cited for careless driving.

Bernie "The Bruiser" Madoff got into a prison-yard tussle with a fellow inmate over all things — the stock market

And, by inmates' accounts, the 71-year-old Ponzi schemer came out the winner.

Madoff, serving 150 years at the Butner, N.C., federal prison, was heard last week getting into a heated debate over the state of the market with another senior-citizen jailbird.

The shouting match got so heated that the inmate pushed Madoff

who shoved back harder with both hands, causing his attacker to stumble.

As the attacker tried to stand up straight, Madoff hovered over him red-faced and glaring, eyewitnesses said.

Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday it will add 4.5 million older-model vehicles to the long list of those recalled because a defective cruise control switch could cause a fire.

The recall covers 1.1 million Ford Windstar minivans that had a small risk of fire due to internal leaking from the switches.

The remaining 3.4 million vehicles are Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models

All vehicles covered by the recall are from the 1992 to 2003 model years.
