Martha Michel of Colorado Springs, CO who walks laps around a nursing home everyday in memory of her deceased husband has reached an impressive milestone. Martha's records, detailing her walks and ruotine shows that she has walked 10,000 miles since her husband, Lester died in 1998. Martha says she and her husband walked around a lake on the nursing home's facilities everyday after he became a patient there until Lester became too sick to continue. Martha reached 10,000 miles on Saturday.
Two men playing pool in a Wisconsin bar were nearly struck by their own car after a drunk driver slammed into the parked car outside sending the vehicle flying through a wall. Authorities arrested a 35-year-old man who is said to be a regular patron at the bar, and that he was driving with a revoked license.
Iowa City police are investigating an assault which took place at a local restaurant early Sunday morning. The victim says he was ordering food when he was approached by man who accused him of being a zombie and then punched him in the eye. When the injured man tried to call police on his cell phone the man punched him again before running away. The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital and was treated for a broken nose
