Johnson tells us how the project came about: ["We were just on tour and then my friend Emmet Malloy, which is the same friend I used to became surf films with and he became the guy. The next thing I know we were rolling with all this stuff. Every once and while, he'd say, 'Why don't we film this show?' I always kind of just trush him.A couple of years ago, he did one at the Greek Theater so we did one there. And this time, they wanted to bring some cameras out to Europe, and that was it."]

It was just the basic structure of releasing a record, everything from getting the advance copies to press to having time -- I mean, there wasn't even time to make a video. I mean, we were like done and leaving for tour. It wasn't one gigantic thing, it sort of just seemed like every little thing about the record was rushed."]

The United States has officially asked Switzerland to hand Roman Polanski over to authorities in California. The Associated Press reports that he could serve up to two years in prison for having sex in 1977 with a 13-year-old girl.

Authorities in Zurich, where the director was arrested on September 26th, will hold a hearing on an unspecified date to decide whether Polanski should be sent back to Los Angeles. The Associated Press reports that if extradition is approved, Polanski may appeal the decision to Switzerland's top criminal court and, "theoretically, to the Federal Supreme Court."

The spy noted, "It was a long strand of brown beads, and she and her friends would pick them up from time to time."

Jon Gosselin's lawyer claims the reality dad has complied with the court order he received last week and returned $180,000 he took from a joint bank account with his estranged wife Kate. Her lawyer, however, countered attorney Mark Heller's claims, saying that Jon had returned $28,500 but he was waiting for Heller to wire back the remaining $152,000.

Mark Momijan said after Heller's statement last week, "I have no doubt Jon's lawyer is making an accurate representation but I'm just waiting. He added that Kate was not required to return any money, but has otherwise "complied with the court order in advance of the date." It was reported last week that a second hearing would be held today (October 26th).

Weezer has premiered the video for its current single, "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To," at Babelgum.com. The clip, shot by 500 Days Of Summer director Marc Webb, takes place in the town of Weezerville, where all the residents look suspiciously like members of the band, and where the conformist, 1950s vibe is shattered by the arrival of a bombshell played by Cloverfield star Odette Yustman. Upon her arrival, the men of Weezerville go a little mad and shoot arrows at each other, drive trucks over each other and wield chainsaws in their quest to get the girl.

Puddle Of Mudd took off on the rock radio charts this week with "Spaceship," the first single from the band's upcoming album, Volume 4: Songs In The Key Of Love And Hate. Guitarist Paul Phillips, who rejoined the band last spring after a four-year hiatus, gave us some hints about how the CD sounds: ["To me it's more Puddle Of Mudd than the last record. It's definitely more on the rock tip, a little more leaning toward (the band's 2001 breakthrough album) Come Clean, I would think, a little more of that angst. But it's also got the more heartfelt, slower-type songs, you know, in the 'Blurry' vein and what not. I think in a whole it's probably somewhere in between Come Clean and the last record.

Although Atreyu singer Alex Varkatzas got married earlier this month, he and his new wife have had to unfortunately postpone their honeymoon until December while Varkatzas promotes the band's new album, Congregation Of The Damned. I don't think I ever wanted to get married or do anything like that a hundred percent before I met her, and it just feels right and makes sense."]
