
As controversy swirled around his speech to the nation's schoolchildren, President Obama told students Tuesday to take responsibility for their education, go to class and listen and not let failures define them.
Obama delivered his speech at a school in Virginia where he was greeted by a raucous crowd of students. He encouraged them to maintain their focus and use school as a way to succeed despite their background.
A day after a rally was held in front of the firehouse where an alleged sexual misconduct took place in involving several Atlantic City fire fighters and three juvenile city girls, Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford is calling for a restart to the investigation.
Langford halted the investigation into the allegations last week at the request of the county prosecutor after receiving a warning that releasing information would jeopardize the law enforcement investigation.
Police are asking for the public's help after two thieves cleverly stole an ATM machine from the Delaware County Memorial Hospital Monday night.
Two men entered the Hospital in Upper Darby around 8:30 p.m. posing as workers coming to fix the machine. The thieves donned clipboards and pushed a dolly into the building. Both men were also wearing low baseball caps to hide their identities.
The thieves then reportedly snipped some wires from the back of the machine and walked out with the ATM on their dolly without incident....the machine held over $100,000
An Italian tourist was arrested in Brazil Sept. 2 after a couple told police they witnessed him kissing a young girl inappropriately in a swimming pool at a resort, reports the BBC News.
It turns out the 8-year-old girl is the man's daughter and his wife, who says she was present the whole time, insists nothing inappropriate happened. There were also other tourists present.
