Wolfmother will release its sophomore album, Cosmic Egg, on October 13th, with the record marking the debut of the band's new lineup. Frontman Andrew Stockdale parted ways with original bassist Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett last year, rounding up three new members for the revamped group. Stockdale told us that he's pleased with how quickly the new lineup has gelled: ["For me, like, writing songs and having ideas, this band can make an album quickly. Depeche Mode singer David Gahan has been ordered to go on complete vocal rest for 48 hours, which forced the British group to cancel its Wednesday night (August 12th) show at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. In a statement at the band's website, Gahan wrote, "San Francisco is one of the most important cities to the band and we are devastated that we have been forced to cancel this date. We hope to be back soon to play for all of our fans in the area."
