Rock News

A song called "These Are My Twisted Words" that sounds an awful lot like Radiohead is spreading like wildfire around the Internet. Fans speculate it might be the first song off an upcoming extended play (EP) recording that may be called Wall of Ice. An art file that accompanies the audio repeatedly contains that phrase. So far, the band isn't talking, says Rollingstone, which is still awaiting a comment from the band.

It's official. Say goodbye to Fall Out Boy until 2011. The band will finish up their tour with Blink 182 on October 4th, then take the year 2010 off, MTV reported Thursday (August 13th). Bassist Pete Wentz confirmed the long-rumoured decision.

Only one thing would get him back to work next year, Wentz says: An invitation to play the first live show ever on the Principality of Sealand. The tiny island nation off the coast of England is the domain of an eccentric British broadcaster and retired Army major who declared himself Prince of Sealand. There, he happily prints his own money and fires on any vessel that approaches. "I wanna play the first fest in Sealand," Wentz told MTV. "The only thing I'm worried about is that the dude may shoot us. And I know we'll be paid in native currency. We'll be like, 'We want 1 million Sealand bucks,' and he'll be like, 'I'll double it. I'll give you 2 million,' because the dude is just printing them!"

Linkin Park is giving a portion of the proceeds from last night's (August 13th) show in Taipei to the relief effort for victims of the killer tropical storm that struck Taiwan earlier this week. The money will go to World Vision, a Christian organization that is distributing food, supplies and relief kits to people left homeless by the storm that destroyed 10,000 homes.
