The number of U.S. households on the verge of losing their homes rose 7 percent from June to July, as the escalating foreclosure crisis continued to outpace government efforts to limit the damage.

Foreclosure filings were up 32 percent from the same month last year, RealtyTrac Inc. said Thursday. More than 360,000 households, or one in every 355 homes, received a foreclosure-related notice


Corporate bondholders are challenging Donald Trump's proposed takeover of Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc., claiming it would benefit only two people - Trump and his financial partner.

The bondholders filed motions in U.S. Bankruptcy Court objecting to the Trump buyout because it seems like "a brazen insider deal" and would wipe out the $1.25 billion of notes they own in the casino company.

A secret DNA test proves former presidential candidate John Edwards is the father of the baby born from an affair with a campaign aide

The National Enquirer, which last year broke the story of Edwards' affair with campaign videographer Rielle Hunter and their alleged "love child," said the test was taken after Hunter tried to get financial help from Edwards for the 18-month-old girl named Frances.


JetBlue Airways Corp. is offering an "all-you-can-fly" pass where passengers can book an unlimited amount of flights over a month for $599.

The airline said Wednesday that pass holders will be able to fly to any of JetBlue's 56 destinations between Sept. 8 and Oct. 8.

Customers must book the pass by Aug. 21.
