Rock News

Puddle Of Mudd is set to debut the video for its new single, "Spaceship," on Monday (November 16th). A teaser clip of the video showed up on YouTube late last week. Frontman Wes Scantlin told us that the band set out to have a good time with the video's concept: ["We just had a big old party on a spaceship. We're going from like planet to planet, picking up different alien chicks, and you know, it's a really, really fun video. We flipped the tour bus/spaceship upside down. It's just a really fun video. We had a good time. I think I broke my pinky and I think I cracked a rib or something."]

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher revealed in an Italian radio interview that he will return to the stage with a new band soon -- and that the new group will feature all the members of Oasis except for his brother, guitarist Noel Gallagher. Liam explained, "We're sort of doing things at the moment. Not Oasis, Oasis is done. Everyone except for Noel." Oasis came to an end in late August after the Gallagher brothers nearly came to blows just before a show in Paris. Noel quit the band the following day.

U2 and concert promoters MCB were fined the equivalent of $53,000 in U.S. dollars by the Dublin City Council for excess noise levels during their concerts at the city's Croke Park in July. According to Ireland's Evening Herald, the council brought the penalties due to the quartet exceeding volume levels a dozen times during the band's three shows. But the fine was called "paltry" by a number of media outlets when compared to the $30 million the band earned from the stadium gigs.
