
Sean Penn's 16-year-old son was reportedly arrested last week. RadarOnline.com reports that Hopper Jack was taken into custody by the L.A. County Sheriff's department, but because of his age, authorities will not release details as to why he was arrested or if any charges have been filed. One source did tell the website that the younger Penn was busted at the school he attends in Malibu. Hopper's parents, Sean and Robin Wright, are currently in the midst of a divorce.
Kirstie Alley is reportedly set to star in an unscripted series for A&E. Variety reports that the network has ordered ten half-hour episodes of the series, which will follow the actress as she "struggles with weight loss while handling life as a single mom to two teenagers in Hollywood." A network executive commented on the series, saying, "Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to. Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years, but this will be the first time she'll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras."
Comedian Tom Papa will star on the Jerry Seinfeld-produced reality show that is heading to NBC. The Hollywood Reporter announced that Papa -- who served as Seinfeld's opening act on tour -- will act as a judge for couples who need a third party to settle their arguments. Their cases will be laid out before a panel of comedians and celebrities before "the Ref" decides which spouse is correct. Production on the series is set to begin in January.
ABC is launching a new dance series that will feature Kathy Griffin as host. The network described Let's Dance as a reality competition series in which celebrities re-enact famous dance routines from pop culture.
The series is set to debut on November 23rd immediately following the performance finale of Dancing With the Stars.
ABC has ordered five episodes of the series, which will air regularly on Mondays at 9 p.m. following the series premiere.
