KEN OBER DIES: Former MTV host Ken Ober has passed away at the age of 52. A representative for the comedian, who was best known for hosting MTV's Remote Control beginning in the late 1980's, confirmed his death, but offered no other details. After Remote Control, Ober went on to host other game shows, like Smush" and "Make Me Laugh. In the years since, Ober worked as a supervising producer on Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn, a consulting producer on The New Adventures of Old Christine and a writer and producer on Mind of Mencia.

KATE HUDSON DENIES ALEX RODRIGUEZ CENTAUR RUMORS: Kate Hudson has laughed off reports that boyfriend Alex Rodriguez has a picture of himself as a centaur -- half-man, half-horse -- hanging inside his bedroom. When confronted with such an image, Hudson balked to MTV News, "What is that? That's horrible." When asked to comment on the story -- told to Usmagazine.com by a former Rodriguez flame -- Hudson said, "That is the craziest thing anyone has ever asked me. I don't indulge in those types of stories. As humorous as you might think they are."


PENNY MARSHALL IS 'FINE': Penny Marshall says she is "fine" despite reports that she's suffering from brain cancer and liver tumors. When asked about the National Enquirer's claims that she had brain surgery last month, she told Extra, "I know . . . there's all that (bleep). I'm walking and talking and I'm fine." She added, "Thank you for your concern, but I'm fine. They get it a little cockeyed sometimes."

JOHN STAMOS GETS STAR ON WALK OF FAME: John Stamos received the 2,393rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (November 16th). Television producer and movie director Garry Marshall and Stamos' "Full House" co-star Bob Saget joined the actor for the ceremony.
