
Weezer has joined forces with Allstar Products Group to create the official Weezer Snuggie. Known as the "blanket with sleeves," the Weezer Snuggie arrived on Tuesday (November 3rd) and bears the group's logo. Fans who purchase a Weezer Snuggie will also receive a copy of the band's new album, Raditude, as a bonus gift. The Snuggie is available for purchase online at the cost of $29.99.
Them Crooked Vultures, the new supergroup featuring Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones, began giving away a new song called "Mind Eraser, No Chaser" on Tuesday (November 3rd) as a free download at iTunes. There are no obligations or pre-orders attached to the song. "Mind Eraser" is the second full track that listeners can check out from the band, with first single "New Fang" now playing on radio stations and streaming at the group's official MySpace page.
Strokes lead singer Julian Casablancas released his first solo album, titled Phrazes For The Young, on Tuesday (November 3rd). It comes nearly four years after the last Strokes album, First Impressions Of Earth, and follows a number of solo projects by other members of the group. Casablancas told us why he finally took the solo plunge himself: ["Well, I think I've always wanted to have an outlet for, you know, what I do, and I feel like my normal band, which I was relatively happy with the system, I think was going through a little bit of a transformation. I don't know, I just . . . yeah, I had stuff that I wanted to do, and I think the band wasn't ready
