A man walked through a screening checkpoint exit into the secure side of a terminal at one of the nation's busiest airports on Sunday night, and flights were grounded for hours and passengers had to be re-screened while air safety officials searched for him.
Airline passengers were allowed to begin boarding their planes at Newark Liberty International Airport about six hours after the man was seen bypassing security.


Gillian's Funland of Sea Isle City made about $400,000 in 2009, its first year in a coastal city that went without an amusement park for a decade, and the park's operators intend to add more rides this year.


Aggravated assault charges have been filed against a man who allegedly hit and dragged two New Jersey state troopers while fleeing a traffic stop.

State police said the incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. Saturday in Woodbine, when the troopers stopped 28-year-old Jeffrey May of Dennis Township and tried to arrest him.

But May fled in his pickup truck and hit the troopers while driving off, dragging them a short distance. May later turned himself in and was being held Sunday at the Cape May County Jail on $25,000 bail.

China is warning officials to brace for a possible new wave of swine flu infections as the country enters the busy Lunar New Year travel period.
Tens of millions of Chinese take to the rails, roads and air during the most important holiday of the traditional calendar, creating crowded conditions ideal for the spread of the virus. The holiday period this year runs from late January into February.

Gilbert Arenas said Saturday he used "bad judgment" in bringing guns into the Washington Wizards locker room. He also denied that he gambles and said there are misconceptions in the various stories about a dispute between himself and teammate Javaris Crittenton.
