
GUESTS STRANDED IN A BAR ON NEW YEARS: Approximately 60 people were stranded in a British pub on New Year's Eve due to a snowstorm. The relentless snowstorms trapped the guests inside the Tan Hill Inn, located in northern Yorkshire Dales, for three days. The guests spent the three days drinking and playing cards, as well as helping each other with daily meals. The press dubbed it as the longest ever New Year's Eve party. (AFP)
WOMAN PUNCHES MCDONALD'S DRIVE-THROUGH WINDOW: A woman punched through a McDonald's drive-through window in Toledo, Ohio after being told that the Chicken McNuggets were unavailable. According to the police, Melodi Dushane, 24, was treated for injuries and then jailed. She pleaded not guilty to vandalism charges but was ordered to not have contact with the restaurant. (AP)

4-TON STATUE STOLEN FROM MOTORCYCLE SHOP: A 4-ton statue was stolen outside of a Harley-Davidson store in Lindon, Utah. Authorities say the thieves must have used heavy equipment in order to make off with such a heavy sculpture. The $100,000 sculpture depicted an old-time speed racer and was discovered missing by the store's employees. The store manager, Kandi Zamora says that the granite block on which the statue was mounted was also missing. (AP)
MOTHER FINDS A PARKING METER IN SON'S CLOSET: A 36-year old man from Jersey City Heights was arrested for stolen property after his mother found a city parking meter in his closet. Thomas Gaughran removed the meter from its Graham Street location about four months ago but was unable to remove the coins from inside of the machine. His mother discovered the meter while cleaning out his closet. This started an argument which led her to call the police. (NJ.com)
