TIGER'S HOME VISITED BY CHILD WELFARE OFFICIALS: Yet more sordid headlines are raining down on Tiger Woods, once the poster boy for squeaky-clean all-American success. RadarOnline is reporting that Florida child and family welfare officials made a visit to the golfer's mansion near Orlando on Saturday, presumably to check on his two-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son. An agency spokesman would reveal no details, but said the agency routinely investigates following an incident of domestic violence. That is what may or may not have occurred November 27th, when Tiger either crashed his car or was assaulted by his wife Elin Woods after an argument about his infidelity. TAYLOR LAUTNER ACES SNL APPEARANCE: He's only 17, but New Moon co-star Taylor Lautner is getting kudos for his performance as guest host on NBC's Saturday Night Live over the weekend. During his monologue, the good sport and martial arts expert beheaded a life-sized Kanye West cut-out for notoriously heckling his "really close friend" Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Awards last summer. He also announced that he's really, really good friends with a country music cutie, namely Reba McEntire.
JERSEY SHORE PULLS VIOLENT CLIP: MTV has decided to pull a scene in an upcoming episode of Jersey Shore that shows Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi getting punched in the face by a man at a nightclub. The network also removed a preview clip from YouTube, although the preview was shown previously on air. In a statement released Friday, MTV said: "What happened to "Snooki" was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing. After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context to not show the severity of this act or the resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air "Snooki" being physically punched in next week's episode." The man was identified by The New York Post as New York gym teacher Lou Ferro. Ferro was arrested after the incident. The assault left Polizzi with an injury to her mouth. The network said the episode will still make clear what happened that night and will air a message at the end of the show listing available resources for those in abusive relationships
